Valerie French Hair Salon est. 2002

At our friendly, independent salon we really care about our clients, our approach is to listen and discuss what you are looking for. We also offer make-up artistry on request. Creating a style to suit you and your lifestyle or maintain your current look, you can be assured our team are kept up to date on yearly courses, keeping our salon standards, maintaining our clients confidence and leaving you feeling refreshed and fulfilled.

Over time we will get to know you, your hair and your preferences, building a trusting relationship so you can relax and enjoy being pampered. Our clients love coming to our salon because many say it has that warm feel, good ambience and is a nice relaxing environment.

We are so pleased to have been awarded a 5 star hair salon by Good Salon Guide. All our products are specially chosen for excellence in conditioning and treating hair and are environmentally friendly. We have a whole range of intensive, but naturally inspired colour palettes.

Valerie

Owner

Valerie has been hairdressing since a young girl and there is no chance of her retiring anytime soon. Valerie loves all aspects of hairdressing but she does an amazing blow dry without having to use any hot irons. Valerie likes to make sure everything is running smoothy and happily, by showing her kind, gentle nature in the salon.

Lisa

Senior Stylist

Lisa is our longest member and has been with us since 2003. Lisa has a very unique, loving personality. Clients love her honest opinion which gives you the best hair cut for your type of hair. She excels in perming and short haircuts from your long bob to a pixie cut.

Tracy

Creative Stylist

Tracy, (who is Valerie’s daughter) has a strong passion for colour work, from your root tint to Balayage’s, she enjoys it all. Tracy’s work really speaks for itself. Tracy also loves being a part of every brides day, and creates the most beautiful updo’s. Tracy is a bubbly chatty person, who will make you feel amazing when you leave.

Hannah

Stylist

Hannah has been with us since 2020 and she is a great asset to our team. Hannah loves all aspects of hairdressing but especially loves highlighting, balayage and creative colouring. Hannah is a kind, gentle person who loves to make clients happy and brings great energy to the salon.

Sarah

Stylist

Welcoming Sarah our newest Stylist. Sarah has been in the industry for 19 years, great at all styles but especially loves creating short hairstyles. Sarah has an outgoing personality and is very chatty which makes you feel welcome from the moment you sit in her chair.

Jess

Apprentice

Jess is now doing her full course in her apprenticeship in the salon and has been with us for a year. Jess shows great passion for hair up and all hairdressing. Jess is very kind and happy, always eager to help.We are always looking for models to help Jess complete her course. If you are interested in becoming a model please email the salon or call.

Excellent salon

The Staff at Valerie French are always friendly and make you feel welcome. Both styling and colouring are carried out to a very high standard and they always give excellent advice and suggestions. I always leave feeling 10 years younger than when I went in and always receive compliments from friends following an appointment at the salon.

First Visit

Had my first visit to this salon. As a bloke, you never know how you will be treated at a hairdressers, but have to say the staff were very welcoming, with a complimentary coffee on arrival and a friendly chat. The haircut was very good and, judging by the atmosphere generally, they seem to do a very good job on everybody. Will definitely be going back and recommend them wholeheartedly.
